Barrelhouse Swing Project vuelve a Madrid Swing Exchange con un taller al más puro estilo Savoy.
Lindy Hop Classics es una rutina con pasos y variaciones inspiradas en las clásicas del Savoy y de bailarinas y bailarines de Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers, bailada con la música que llenaba aquella sala mítica.
Andrea y Tomás, fundadores de la escuela (Barrel para las amistades), dan clase junto al resto del profesorado en la zona norte de Madrid, por Cuatro Caminos. Además, organizan cada mes sesiones como Swing Bastardo y la Jam de Barrel.
Son también quienes cultivan uno de los recursos más valiosos para la escena: “Ecos de la Comunidad”, donde traducen al español artículos esenciales para entender la historia y la cultura del swing.

Barrelhouse Swing Project returns to Madrid Swing Exchange with a workshop in the purest Savoy style.
Lindy Hop Classics is its routine with steps and variations inspired by the Savoy classics and the Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers, danced to the music that once filled that legendary ballroom.
Andrea and Tomás, the school’s founders («Barrel» to their friends), teach alongside the rest of the faculty in northern Madrid, around Cuatro Caminos. They also organise monthly sessions such as Swing Bastardo and the Barrel Jam.
They are also behind one of the most valuable projects for the scene: “Ecos de la Comunidad” (Echoes of the Community), translating essential articles into Spanish to help dancers understand the history and culture of swing.
Their workshop goes to the roots of Lindy, brimming with energy and respecting the swing tradition. Perfect for getting into Savoy mode from the very first beat. ✨
