El jueves, Dj Bidara abre las pinchadas de Madrid Swing Exchange. Swing de ayer y de hoy para inspirar nuestro baile, lleno de matices y con cierta inclinación a las Big Bands. Si has bailado lindy hop en Madrid en los últimos 13 años, conoces con él temas nuevos y antiguos que se alejan de lo conocido; en su colección, un tema top tiene un inicio melódico, una batería que indique el camino y un final de vientos explosivos.

¿Época e intérpretes favoritos? “Todas ellas , pero me quedaría a vivir en la época de las Big Bands de los 30 y, también, las composiciones revival que hubo en los 50 y 60…. Count Basie siempre será mi Dios.”
Al acabar, como siempre, habrá alguna sorpresa; al fin y al cabo es Dj Bidara.
On Thursday, DJ Bidara will be spinning the first of the DJ sets at the Madrid Swing Exchange.
He intersperses classics from yesteryear with more nuanced, updated sounds and If you’ve danced Lindy Hop in Madrid over the last 13 years, you’ll know his ability to bring out little-known tracks, old and new. His collection shows his preference for Big Bands and songs that start melodic, before the drums beat the way ahead towards the full-on explosion of wind.
We’re looking forward to hearing his latest discovery: Janet Klein & Her Parlor Boys’ 20’s-style arrangements from “Mutiny in the Parlor”.
Who are your favourite musicians? Era? “All of them! But I’d love to have lived in the Big-Band era of the Thirties. And then the revival compositions in the Fifties and Sixties… Count Basie will always be my God.”
As usual, he ends with a surprise. After all, he is DJ Bidara.
