#ivmadridlindyexchange. Ya se apagan los ecos de la música y los pies vuelven a caminar a ritmo pausado.

Hemos recibido numerosas felicitaciones y hemos reflexionado sobre lo que debemos mejorar para la próxima edición, para que nuestro Madrid Lindy Exchange sea cada año más atractivo y mejor; para que estéis deseando que llegue la próxima y reservéis la fecha con ilusión.

La lista de agradecimientos puede resultar larga y siempre será incompleta, y aún así queremos dejar patente que hemos sido muchos los que hemos contribuido con nuestro trabajo en la preparación durante los meses anteriores y durante el fin de semana en que Madrid se abre a los bailarines de todo el mundo.

El gran equipo de socios y voluntarios que hemos trabajado intensamente los meses pasados:

* Gabriel, David M. y Rebeca en el baile en la calle, desde la petición de permisos hasta las localizaciones con la mejor sombra posible.
* Alan, René, Diana, Amanda en el guión y presentación de la fiesta.
* Elia, Esther S., Janelle, Irene A., Itziar Y., Belén V. y Víctor D. que habéis sido nuestra voz en las comunicaciones y la web.
* Jorge E. e Itziar Y., músicos y bailarines con los músicos para la jam del viernes.
* Sara P. y José G. que nos han deleitado con sus memorias de Exchanges anteriores.
* Nuestros DJs residentes, Jesús, Bidara y Miguel Zhang, Julia y Esther que nos llevan a dimensiones nuevas en cada sesión. Fran y Ottavio que entendieron el cambio de programación
* Aitor que dispuso un espacio agradable para las fiestas.
* Pili C. que compuso el rompecabezas del alojamiento y el mercado de marcas
* Lulú, Pablo y Julia, David y Diana, Javier V., Laura N., María P., Mónica B., Ester S., Isabela C., Mª José P., Lorena C., Leticia y Javier,, Daniel y Paola, Ulysse, Ester de la C., Yurena D., Icíar G. y Ángel M. que ofrecieron su casa a nuestros visitantes.
* Raquel, René, Vicente, Aida Z.y Bernie que idearon las imágenes que utilizamos en este Madrid Lindy Exchange.
* Enrique, Borja, Marta I., Charlotte, Daniel M., Gonzalo, Cristina P., Mónica G., Leticia M., Pilar P., Isabel G., Javier V., Manuel O.,Raquel G., Irina, Ricardo, Estela, Zoila, Iñaki T., María C, Lisi, Lulú, Jorge E., Nieves S., Laura C., Dani, Lucía, Virginia, Natalia, Nuria, May., Bea A., Bea G. y más, voluntarios entusiastas, previstos e imprevistos, en todo tipo de tareas desde acarrear agua y equipos hasta tomar comandas de bebidas en lo mejor de la fiesta.
Más de uno habéis estado en varios equipos y habéis dedicado muchas horas de vuestro escaso tiempo libre y en las fiestas, madrugando después de trasnochar para que todo estuviera a punto en los bailes en la calle y la fiesta del Círculo. Sois el alma del Madrid Lindy Exchange, la cara amable y acogedora que han sentido los bailarines.

Los jurados de los concursos: Pablo, Ricardo, Lidia, María, Juanjo, Pau, Sandra, Pablo.

Los profesores de las escuelas de swing de Madrid, que nos ofrecieron su arte en tasters y clases abiertas: Juanjo y Sara; Julia y Paola; Pau y Adrian; Gas y María; Lidia y Carlos; Javi y Sandra; Carlos y Sheila; Anabel.

Los músicos de las bandas que nos han hecho bailar sin descanso, literalmente día y noche. Los músicos invitados, espléndidos en generosidad e interpretación.

Los técnicos de sonido e iluminación que han comprendido qué necesitamos y qué nos gusta y nos han dado lo mejor de su técnica.

Los encargados de bar, catering y caja que nos han permitido reponer líquidos fresquitos.

Rubén e Ignacio, que nos ofrecieron espacio para bailar en el Paseo del Prado y la Puerta del Sol.

Las marcas de ropa y complementos que pusieron mercado y que junto con las asociaciones de swing hermanadas, organizadores y escuelas de swing de Madrid nos dieron estupendos premios para los concursos.
Los que os presentasteis a la J&J por vuestra deportividad y buena energía en las preliminares y la final.

Y Angeles C., Claire, Vic y David (Bidara) orquestando todo el conjunto y trabajando directamente en varios equipos a la vez, superpersonas con superpoderes; si no, cómo creer que ha sido posible que también estuvierais en la caja, la música, los tasters, la asignación de entradas hasta el último momento, los concursos, los premios, el baile en la calle, los aspectos técnicos, permisos, código de conducta, prensa, merchandising, imprenta, reprografía, traslado de equipos..

He recibido personalmente agradecimientos de muchos bailarines y músicos y a todos he dicho que recibo la gratitud y las felicitaciones en nombre de los socios de MAD for Swing, de la comunidad swing de Madrid, de todos los que estáis aquí, de los que he podido olvidar en este recuento y de los que anónimamente habéis aportado vuestro grano de arena; se os vio a más de uno informando sobre las actividades, recogiendo bebidas caídas con la fregona o traduciendo a un amigo de fuera.

Gracias bailarines incansables que habéis llenado las fiestas hasta el final, habéis jugado en los concursos y habéis danzado en las ardientes calles de Madrid.

#ivmadridlindyexchange. The echoes of the music have extinguished and our feet have gone back a more leisurely pace.

We have received so many messages of congratulations and we’ve also reflected on what we want to improve for next year, so that our Madrid Lindy Exchange would continue to improve each year, so that you’ll all be looking forward to the next and that you’ll be enthusiastically reserving the date in your calendars.

The list of acknowledgments can be long and most likely incomplete, and yet, we still want to make a point of thanking the many people have contributed to the preparations for several months leading up to and during the weekend in which Madrid opens its doors to dancers from around the world.

We present to you, the fantastic team of MadForSwing members and volunteers who have been working intensely during these past several months:
* Aida Zb, Aida B., Alejandra, Laura, Carlos L., Rosanna, Antonio, Adriana, Delia, Patricia who along with others, developed the code of conduct.
* Jacobo, Miguel Angel, Miguel Z. preparing the registration, budget and the website.

* Raquel, René, Vicente, Aida Z. who came up with the images that we would use for the Madrid Lindy Exchange.

Several of you have been involved in more than one of the teams, you dedicated many hours of your precious free time and during the festival, and then got up early after very little sleep to make sure that the street dancing and party at the Circulo were in order. You are the soul of the Madrid Lindy Exchange, the friendly face and warm welcome that was felt by everyone.

The musicians and the bands who had us dancing non-stop, literally day and night. The guest musicians who were magnificent in their generosity and their art.

The sound and light technicians who understood what we like and need, and who gave us the best of their talents.
The managers of the bar, barmen, catering and cashier who helped us refresh with cold drinks.

Rubén e Ignacio, who gave us spaces to dance in the Paseo del Prado y la Puerta del Sol.
The clothing and accessories brands who set up the market and who along with other swing associations, swing schools in Madrid provided us with amazing prizes for the competitions.
Those of you who participated in the J&J, for your sportsmanship and positive energy during the prelims and the final.

And of course Angeles C., Claire, Vic y David (Bidara) who orchestrated everything and worked directly on various teams at the same time, superheroes with superpowers; because if not how else could they be handling the registration, the music, the tasters the entrance tickets, the competitions, the prizes, the outdoor dances, the technical aspects, permissions, code of conduct, press, merchandising, printing, moving the equipment…

I have personally received thanks from many grateful dancers and musicians and to all of them I have said that I receive their thanks in the name of all the members of
MAD for Swing, of the swing community in Madrid, of all of you who are there, and of those who I may have accidentally left out of this list, and those who anonymously stepped in to help. More than one person was seen explaining the activities to others, mopping up spilled drinks or translating for a friend from another country.

Thank you to the tireless dancers who filled the parties to the end, danced their heart out in the contests and then continued dancing in the burning streets of Madrid.
