The Good Men Swingtet con Rachel Reyes vuelven a Madrid Swing Exchange.
El swing pegadizo de Benny Goodman enganchó al público en los años 30 y le ganó el apodo The King of Swing. The Good Men Swingtet es una auténtica little big band que rinde homenaje a esta tremenda figura y a otros grandes intérpretes del género, como Artie Shaw, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie y Fats Waller.
Esta banda de músicos internacionales afincados en Madrid nos trae su repertorio de tempos variados para animar la pista de baile para lindy hop,shag y balboa. Los arreglos, todos hechos por su bandleader Gavin Whitaker, son fieles a los originales mientras añaden sus propios toques que retan a bailarines y bailarinas a seguirles el juego. Rachel Reyes pone su voz especializada en música afroamericana, con fuerte raíz en el blues, el soul, el funk y el jazz.

The Good Men Swingtet with Rachel Reyes return to the Madrid Swing Exchange. The catchy swing of Benny Goodman hooked audiences in the 1930s and earned him the nickname «The King of Swing.» The Good Men Swingtet is an authentic little big band that pays tribute to this towering figure and other greats of the genre, such as Artie Shaw, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, and Fats Waller.

This band of Madrid-based musicians of different nationalities brings us their repertoire of varied tempos to liven up the dance floor for Lindy Hop, Shag and Balboa. The arrangements, all created by bandleader, Gavin Whitaker, are faithful to the originals with his special additional touches that tease out that extra creativity among dancers. Rachel Reyes’ voice is superbly adapted to African-American music, with deep roots in blues, soul, funk and jazz.
