Lidia Jimón y Héctor San Andrés, de Woodside Jazz, nos proponen en Madrid Swing Exchange, un taller pensado para quienes conocen los pasos básicos de balboa o se atreven a probarlo de forma arriesgada
Balboa Old Clip (Start Cheering) –
Inspirado en un fragmento de la película «Start Cheering» (1938), realizaremos un combo sencillo y enérgico con el que poder explorar diferentes movimientos e intensidades de este baile.
“En Woodside Jazz nos gusta estar en constante investigación de videos antiguos para aprender el lenguaje original e inspirarnos y también para que el resto de personas los conozcan y sepan de dónde nacen estos bailes. “Lidia y Héctor son apasionados del baile y les gusta estar en constante investigación y cuestionamiento de qué hacen y cómo lo hacen para seguir avanzando en su conocimiento y cultura. Disfrutan de la energía y vitalidad y les gustan los retos personales para seguir empujándose en esta comunidad dónde nunca se acaba de aprender.
Lidia Jimón and Héctor San Andrés, from Woodside Jazz, bring a workshop to the Madrid Swing Exchange aimed at people who’ve already mastered the basic Balboa steps or just feel like throwing themselves into the dance anyway.

In Woodside Jazz we love to constantly search through old videos to listen to the original language and learn from that inspiration, so we can pass it on to other people who can understand where these dances come from.”
Lidia and Héctor are passionate about dancing, and they love to constantly research and question what they do and how they do it, so they can continue to deepen their understanding and culture. They enjoy the energy and vitality of Balboa, and setting themselves personal challenges so they can go on forging this community where we never cease to learn.
