Bidara conoce de primera mano la evolución del lindy hop y la escena swing madrileña desde el gran resurgir que comenzó alrededor de 2009. Siempre ligado a la comunidad, fue presidente de la asociación durante dos años, coordinó eventos tan recordados como el histórico San Isidro Swing de 2016 y ha pasado años seleccionando música, organizando actividades y acumulando historias y anécdotas de la pista de baile madrileña. José Benito nos llevará todavía más atrás, a los orígenes del jazz y el swing tanto en Madrid como fuera de nuestras fronteras.
Desde 2019 comparte investigaciones, grabaciones y pequeñas joyas musicales en su blog “Me encanta el swing” y, más recientemente, en el podcast “Me encanta el swing radio”. Apasionado por los detalles y la historia, visitar junto a él los antiguos templos del jazz y del swing —o los lugares donde estuvieron— será una experiencia única para entender cómo sonaba y se vivía esta música en otras épocas.

Bidara lived the evolution of Lindy Hop and the Madrid swing scene from the great revival that began around 2009. Always closely tied to the community, he served as president of the association for two years, coordinated unforgettable events like the historic 2016 San Isidro Swing, and has spent years selecting music, organising activities and gathering stories and anecdotes from the Madrid dance floor.
